Mona Knox Blandford Reveals Spiritual Walk With God in New Book

ARVADA, Colo. (PRWEB) June 26, 2013 - In “Flowers Bloom in Arid Soil: Jesus Is the Gardener” (published by iUniverse), Mona Knox Blandford’s new memoir, readers are welcomed to take a journey through her life, which is marked by a harsh childhood and her triumphant healing through the power of the Lord.

Blandford traces the events of her life, beginning with her birth during the Great Depression and continuing through her childhood growing up in a Colorado coal-mining family, where money was scarce and hardship common. Stripped of her innocence at an early age, Blandford shares how she embarked on a path lined with insecurity, guilt and a fear of speaking up for herself – only to realize much later the true reward of God’s love.

Blandford attests to the power of the Lord in helping her to find strength and confidence despite her hardships. “In a world that is full of confusing helpful messages, outright lies and intimidation by power hungry people, I hope readers will find the true source of dealing with life in a healthy, successful manner,” she says.
